Max Fleischer - Max Fleischer (July 19, 1883–September 11, 1972) was an important pioneer in the development of the animated cartoon. He brought such characters as Betty Boop, Koko the Clown, Popeye, and Superman to the movie screen, and was responsible for a number of technological innovations.

Dave Fleischer - David Fleischer (July 14 1894 - June 25 1979) was a German-American animator, film director, and film producer, best known as a co-owner of Fleischer Studios with his older brother Max Fleischer as well as uncle to director Richard Fleischer. He was a native of New York City.
