Out of the Inkwell - Out of the Inkwell was an early series of animated short films produced by Max Fleischer for the Bray Studio. They featured Koko the Clown and a little dog named Fitz (later known as Bimbo), and were notable for their use of combined live action and animation.

Max Fleischer - Max Fleischer (July 19, 1883–September 11, 1972) was an important pioneer in the development of the animated cartoon. He brought such characters as Betty Boop, Koko the Clown, Popeye, and Superman to the movie screen, and was responsible for a number of technological innovations.
